New Sword 16
tries to make a blade of Kongo-hyoe style.
Sample

This time, kokaji tried to make a Kongo-hyoe style blade by three layer
construction.
Outer steel: random quality tamahagane pieces were picked up, and two outer
steels were forged out. The omote side steel was folded 11 times, and the
ura side one was done 10 times. So, each side of steels were forged separately.
Inner steel (edge steel): dense and hard tamahagane pieces were picked
up, and folded 12 times. It could become a sharp edge by proper quenching
work.
The outer steels and inner steel were welded together, and then drawn out to a log.

The steel log was cut into several pieces as sister blades.
One of the sisters was drawn out to the blade length.
